It's here, it really is. The year we've all talked about, waited for with anticipation and uncertainty. I feel a sense of "finally!!" I'm grateful to be in this spiritual vortex of social, environmental and astrological change, I'm grateful to be alive, to listen to the murmerings of my heart, and forage ahead. How about you?

For the past few weeks I've consciously re-affirmed conditions in my life I want to manifest and see flourish, as well as some soul searching, naming and releasing those things that no longer serve me. I was fortunate to be part of Autumn Soulodge, the soulchild of dear Pixie Campbell pictured above. She has created a virtual community where women can circle, go deep, and find support and community while pursuing a path of deep and intentional growth. What I'm longing for, envisioning this 2012?
- To connect with community, and that includes reconnecting with the blogging community. My intention is to blog at least twice a week, three times would be fab-u-lo-so! I really miss you, the way you used to come here and read and comment, even when you didn't say a thing and just lurked behind the curtain. I miss the me that used to write to you here, so you'd come and visit. I vision this year as a coming home to my blog and all the ways I can share and connect here.
- I miss my visual journaling, so much. I've recomitted to it again (imagine a ceremony, rings exchanged, vows spoken) a minimum of 20 minutes a day in the form of doodling, writing, painting, cutting, or pasting stuff. Here is my New Years spread:
- I'm comitted to becoming more joyful, more present, less judgemental, growing more fully into my wildish nature - envision an appalousa galloping through the meadow, garlands of roses hanging over her sides, or a middle-age woman wandering along the banks of the river she lives on, straining her ear to hear the call of the eagle, picking up sticks and stones by day, praying under the light of the moon by night.
I've chosen a few words to be my touchstone, arrows that point the way for this years journey:
Presence. Community. Wild.

Hi Katie....my dear SouLodge sister....I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post! And I LOVE your words...especially WILD....I think I may have to add it to my words....Release and Truth....or maybe it will come later. I love the image of a Wild middle age Woman walking along the river bank near her home....and I love the commitment to your artwork...that is something I am working on this year too. I can't wait to dig down and read more of your blog....and to share another SouLodge session with you!

Love these love heart rocks. I was walking the other morning practicing being mindful and listening to Tolle raise the question of who are we beyond the ego and I asked "who/what am I?" and looked down to see love heart rocks everywhere. Universe sure does answer if you ask the right question and are open to the answer.
