Are you feeling the pull to paint in a free and expressive way, one
where you experience a more enlivened, expansive You?
Are you longing for a deeper more soulful connection to your
painting process, those moments between that first and last mark?
When I started painting and teaching, I made a grand and surprising discovery…when we show up with the intention to connect, Mystery shows up to meet us, to play and co-create with us. When we make moves with a soft and vulnerable heart, Grace is likely to come calling, revealing and healing and giving us exactly what we didn’t even know we needed. I’ve found that the more trusting we become in the process, the more grit and courage we grow, and the more expansive our world becomes.
In this ebook, I share with you ways I have learned to connect more deeply to my painting process through a combination of videos, audio segments, photographs, and writing. This ebook is a lovely introduction to painting for the beginning painter (you have everything you need inside you!), and an infusion of alchemy for the experienced painter who is longing for a deeper connection to their work.
I’m excited to share my favorite materials and how I use them, with painting techniques and painting prompts for you to explore. But let me be clear, the focus of the ebook is centered around experiencing your personal painting process more deeply, more freely, more holistically; this is NOT a class about becoming a “better” or more technically trained painter (although you may very well consider yourself a “better” painter at the end of our time together). You will experience the excitement of birthing each painting and project, and nurturing them along, giving them room to grow and change in unexpected and intuitive ways. I want this for you. I want you to find yourself more confident in your ability to access the intuitive wisdom that can lead you deeper into your own painting practice. I want you to experience the joy of discovering the hidden worlds inside your self as you explore the wild path of hidden creative worlds.

About Katie
Katie Kendrick lives along the banks of the Tahuya River in western Washington. Surrounded by the Tahuya State Forest, the peaceful beauty of nature that surrounds her is a constant source of inspiration and nourishment for her creative spirit. In addition to hugging trees, she finds painting to be one of the most powerful ways she has found to connect with her innermost essence and the worlds within and without her.
Being a visionary artist, Katie explores the co-creative relationship between Mystery and personal presence, her curiosity and love of authentic experience fueling the fire of her passion in the present moment. She enjoys the experimental and intuitive layers of creating, where she can explore inner and outer worlds simultaneously, listening to and speaking through her paintings.
She has a passion for sharing her love of creating with others and teaches mixed media painting workshops across the U.S. and internationally. She is a featured artist in numerous books and periodicals, and her first book, Layered Impressions: A Mixed- Media Approach to Painting and Poetry was released in 2012.
