so beautiful.
My backyard creek is roaring fast right now, I can't believe how hard the rain is coming down! It doesn't see, like June.

Look at that BEAUTIFUL photo of you!! It's....well....beautiful! :)

Can I visit you? Would you dare show me your special place? Could we walk and talk...or walk and not...just smell the smells and hear the sounds and feel the air? I would love to if you ever are willing.

....one more thing...is that scotch broom in the very back of the last picture? I just LOVE this time of year...when the broom paints all the normally-unnoticed hills along the freeways with the golden yellow of late afternoon sun. Isn't is lovely?!?!

-me again. :)

Hi Katie! You have a beautiful sanctuary there. I bet the air smells so good and fresh.

How lucky are you to have such a beautiful, restful place to escape to! We should all have a magic forest in our minds to retreat to in times of darkness or angst.
Lovely photos!

I have a forest near my home that I feel exactly the same way about. I've learnt that if I feel weighed down or am struggling to work something out a walk in the woods is a sure way to lighten my heart and restore a sense of quiet joy.

I don't know what it is about trees that does this but I'm happy to take advantage of it none-the-less. (Every now and then I remember to thank them for lending me a little spiritual lift whenever I need it.)

I don't have a forest exactly, but I feel the same way when I go out into my backyard, along the brick trail behind my house, (especially when it is shady and protected), I feel that magical, at one with the world feeling. What beautiful photographs you have shared...Roxanne
