some of the fun things in the past several days...
driving the kids to olympia (1.5 hours from home) so they could play in the wonderful children's museum there. it's a place where you can plant and harvest vegetables all year long...
violet always had at least 2 baskets of food going when picking apples or shopping in the market.
these two rollie-pollies were tumbling about on the dentist chair waiting to get their teeth clean
the hygienists carried out their job with gusto
a place to sail boats, build locks, catch fish, or just splash
the veterinary clinic is always popular with violet. if it weren't such a long trip i'd take them back more often.
We've had some interesting weather, sunny and quite cold. We had a hailstorm a couple days ago.
The dogs and I were taking a walk when it started, the clouds coming our way were black so i knew we were in for more. we headed for the river where there are lots of big trees for cover.
I've been home most of the time, especially enjoying this music, this, and this often working on preparations for my class at artfest coming up in just a few short weeks and there are still a few openings if you're looking for a fun class. but also some (too-much) goofing off and wasting time getting sidetracked. today i've got my to-do list in front of me and i'm riding my behind to stay on track. Here are some photos of the newest sample - these are SO much fun to create. You can either hang them on the wall or suspend them from the ceiling like a mobile. Because the individual units are on swivels, everything turns around.
the trip to the museum looks like it was much fun!! they are so sweet...love the ponytails.
what in the hail?! ;-) it was 86 here this weekend, too hot for March, but we enjoyed the two premature summer days. today it felt more like late winter... but i am craving full spring days.
i am so looking forward to seeing you soon! finally! wishing i could sneak off and take your class!!!
missing you much! xooxoxoxoo

Wish I could take this class - what fun!
So busy, but I've missed you & think of you every time I look at your work in my studio.
Things are so exciting for you - and Italy! How wonderful can life get?

If only there was a children's museum when I was 5 years old, I would've rocked it! Is it too late to go when you're 41? i think that's the question... looks like a fantastic place and a ton of fun was had by all.

This is a really neat art-mobile. I'll bet it's really pretty in person.
The children's museum looks so interesting. I'm sure they had a great time.
I'm very envious of you, going to Italy. How exciting that must be. And I'll bet you are really looking forward to the class. I would be.

The girls are adorable as always!
Thinking of you and wishing you well. Go check this out... when I saw the project I immediately thought of you--this would be something fun to "check on" while you're out walking the property.
